Happy thing.

Happy thing: Discovering that Pandora works from the office these days. (It hasn't always.) Yay, music!

Bravo Vermont!

The Vermont legislature has overridden the governor's veto and legalized same-sex marriage. Go go northern neighbor!

You know what would be useful?

A tune search engine. I want something where I can sing part of a tune into a microphone, and it would search a repository and give me likely hits.

When I was a child, about four years old, my brother and I stayed with our grandparents while our parents were traveling. My grandmother sang to me a setting of the 23rd psalm. I know I picked it up enough to sing it back to her. And I would dearly love to sing it for her now.

The problem is, I only remember the tune for the first line or so -- and who knows if I'm even remembering them right. I don't think it's the Crimond tune that is apparently common, and it's not Brother James's Air.

Anyone know of a list of settings, or something like that?
