Two, to be specific. We still need two younger men (the characters are in their mid-twenties) for A Murder Is Announced. If anyone's interested, more info is at the Belmont Dramatic Club site, or I can give you the director's phone number.

Not that I can sign up, given that it's a bit far away, but it does remind me to ask. I've been thinking that I need to do something that gets me out of the house and around some people (and that isn't work). I know that I don't completely suck at theaterish things (jury's out on exactly how much), and I enjoy them, even though I haven't done any participation in something around ten years, so it's one of the options. How does one get involved in this sort of thing? Not that you can provide specifics on that, given the geography, but it's sort of a general question anyway.

Really, you just go audition. Most community theaters will be happy to see you.

To find the auditions? Check the newspaper -- the calendar section or equivalent will sometimes have audition listings. There are also websites with listing. (Around here, it's netheater411.com; there's probably something similar where you are.)
