Running again.

I've been an utter lump lately when it comes to the running. I got completely out of the routine when I was sick, and haven't gotten back into it. I think I'd been running once in the past six weeks or so, ugh.

So I feel very good that I went out this evening to run, and actually made it 3 miles without walking (except for the hill up from Fresh Pond to the street, which I never exactly run up!). Not fast, but steady.

If and when we actually get summer weather, it's going to be rough. Even tonight, in the cool, I can feel my face is very warm. I'll have to find a time or place to run without overheating.

Anyway, I'm glad I got back out there.

And who would ever have thought that I, of all people, would want to go running?!

You and me both -- I'm gonna try and get up at 6:30 tomorrow to get in a short run. (I'm in Ohio this weekend.) We'll see
if I can get up that early. ;)

Three miles, huh? I got winded trying to run from the corner of Mass Ave and Vassar Street to the Lobby 7 steps, when running late.

Just to give you some context for how not-out-of-shape you are.

Go you! I am all kinds of impressed about running without walking. I'm about to get back on the Couch to 5K train (I started in the early spring, and then it started snowing and icing again). I will be starting back at "jog a little, walk a little."

I also had a hiatus of a few weeks recently, and just ran again for the first time yesterday (on the treadmill, thanks to the incessant rain and me being a wimp). It was definitely tough (I walked a bit in the middle, myself) but also felt really good to do.

So hooray to you for getting back out there!

Congratulations! You're a real inspiration to me (I hope!).
