The good things.

I tend to spend way too much time worrying about the less-than-perfect things in my life (is the Enigma going to get out, why don't I have more energy, I should get more exercise...) and not stop to acknowledge the good stuff.

  • I actually had a social life this weekend. Foo at the Freaks, housewarming/birthday party, trip to King Richard's Faire with [livejournal.com profile] ironrat, mikka, and yet another in the long line of people named Dave.
  • The new bed is wonderful.
  • I'm looking at taking a quick trip to Colorado in October. When I asked my boss if I should take unpaid time or if I could get an advance on vacation time, she said, "Take them as comp days. You've earned them." And I haven't even put in that much extra time as yet!
  • The people I quasi-supervise at work have told me that I give them good comments on their editing.
  • There's a chili cook-off tomorrow at work, and I get to be a judge.
  • I have tonight off from rehearsals, so I can make that run to Target I wanted to make and then just go home.
  • There are lots of good people in my life. I need to remember that more often and spend time with them.
  • Did I mention that the new bed is wonderful? :)

It's amazing how a good night's sleep can change your whole outlook.

Maybe I should try to get one of those.
