1. What is your LiveJournal "user name" and what does it mean? It's half of my "nom de puzzle" in the National Puzzlers' League (Saxifrage), combined with my nickname. (I've never been Kathy, don't even try. But I picked up "Kath" in college.) I first used it on AIM because everything else I tried was taken.
2. On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest), how well does your LiveJournal represent who you actually are? Probably about a 4. There's a lot I don't talk about here.
3. How much do you post to LJ about your life? More than I would have expected, but not all that much.
4. Is there anything you refuse to post about? Yes. Anything I don't want people I know to be able to read.
5. On a scale of 1-10, how interesting do you think your own journal is to others? How would I know?
6. How or from who did you find out about LJ? I first encountered it reading over tahnan's shoulder, but it was davehogg who gave me the access code thingy.
7. Has anyone ever joined LJ because of you? Only bookishfellow that I know of.
8. What proportion of your posts are friends only? 10% maybe?
9. What is your favorite interest on LJ? I don't use the interests much.
10. Has anything on LJ ever caused you to establish, rethink, or even change your belief or position on something? Sure.
11. How often do you respond/comment on other people's journals? A few times a week. Whenever something inspires me to.
12. Do you prefer to write in your journal, or read other journals? Depends on what mood I'm in.
13. Have you ever had something mean said to you or been stalked, harassed, or got into an argument/flame war on LJ (or did it to someone else)? Not that I know of.
14. Have you ever banned someone from your journal? Nope.
15. Who are your favorite LJ friend(s) and why? Whoever's entry made me laugh most recently.
16. How many of your LJ friends have you actually met? All but three.
17. Of all of the people on LJ you know of, who is the most like you? Geez, I dunno. Maybe bookishfellow.
18. Why are you most likely to add someone to your friends list? When I discover someone I know who I didn't know had an lj.
19. Do you automatically add friends to your journal if they add you first? No.
20. What is the most likely reason you wouldn't add someone to your friends list? If it's not someone I know, at least virtually.
21. Is your "significant other" on LJ? What significant other?
22. Have you ever wanted to meet someone on LJ? Only people I already knew, virtually speaking, before LJ.
