Another openin', another show.

And it's a good one. I find opening nights odd as a director; I've done everything I can do, and it's totally out of my hands. The busy opening-night bustle in the green room doesn't really apply to me, except in terms of running warmups, and I sometimes feel a bit out of place. But that's as it should be; it's the cast's show, not mine, and it's their time to shine.

Which they will.

1. The view from the window. Blue sky, autumn light on the trees, and the ship that, as far as I can tell, is named "Yick Luk" that's at the plant across the water. (I'm not sure what that plant produces, except that it appears to involve scrap metal. We get lots of big cargo ships there.)
