Audition report.
Jan. 4th, 2004 11:11 pmThere were more than 30 people at auditions tonight. I have no idea how many will come tomorrow, or how many they're looking to cast.
I went with "Hold On," which just seemed to fit best after I sang through everything. They really meant 16 bars, so I just sang the end part. The person two ahead of me in line sang the same song, argh, but she sang a different 16 bars.
Then they taught us a dance sequence. For all that I'm a klutz and occasionally awkward, I dance reasonably well. I have a good sense of rhythm, at least. So that was ok.
Callbacks are Tuesday night, but there were a few people who couldn't make it then, so they asked them to stay to do readings. And they asked a few other people to stay and read with them.
And I was one of the ones they asked to stay! :) They had me read Emma Goldman, which was fine by me. So even if I don't get called to the official callbacks, I feel like I got called back.
Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions and good wishes.
