Cleaning, part 1.

So far:

Last night: bought assorted cleaning products. And a bookcase, since part of my cleaning is putting away the books that are scattered around, and I'm out of space.

Today: Bookcase assembled. Not much yet, but it's a start...

Cleaning, part 2.

Progress thus far:

Bookcase placed. Books scattered around the apartment returned to shelves. Random Mystery Hunt stuff put away.

Living room decluttered, dusted, swept, Swiffered (dry & wet), and slightly rearranged.

Next up: dining room. Still to come: bedroom, kitchen, bathroom.

I realize this isn't very exciting for you all to read. But it makes me feel good to acknowledge what I've gotten done.

Cleaning, part 3.

Dining room decluttered (including putting away music and stuff piled atop the piano), dusted, swept & swiffered (the visible floor areas), vacuumed (carpet).

Pretty bunch of iris bought and put in vase on table in living room.

Three old family photos hung. (Including this one, which evidently some distant relative also has a copy of and put up on a genealogy website. These two people are also ancestors of mine -- my mom has this photo on her wall at home.)

Hallway swept & swiffered.

Kitchen mostly decluttered and swept.

Dishes done.

Still to do: kitchen surfaces & floor, bathroom, bedroom. Adjust couch slipcover. And much trash & recycling to put out Monday night.

I'm tired.
