Positive moments.
Feb. 1st, 2005 05:35 pmThere are times when editing The Enigma feels like a frustrating obligation, a burden hanging over my head (or a ghost haunting me, as in
tmcay's October Sphinx drawing). It has to be done every month, and there are always the occasional complaints or errata that make me feel like I'm messing something up.
But then there are days when I get e-mails like these:
"Your edits to [a puzzle] are wonderful. Thank you so much for 'fixing my flat.'"
"I just looked online and I'm thrilled to see my first flat in the February Enigma!"
It's nice to be reminded of why I agreed to do this in the first place...
