A meme-to-be?
Mar. 10th, 2005 09:51 amOkay, let's see if I can start a meme.
List five (or more or fewer) places you've been that you think the people on your friends list should see before they die. If you like, say why you think they're special.
1. Saint-Chapelle, Paris. This is the most stunning jewel-box of stained glass I've ever seen. It's breathtaking.
2. The top of Trail Ridge Road, Rocky Mountain National Park. See the tundra up close and personal. Feel what mountain air is really like. (Thin.) See forever on a clear day.
3. The Outer Banks of North Carolina. If you love the ocean, go. Stand on Ocracoke Island at sunset and watch the colors change.
4. The Roman ruins of Conimbriga, Portugal. Well-preserved mosaic floors, still in situ in the ruins of their buildings.
5. Fenway Park, Boston. If you like baseball at all, you owe it to yourself to see a game at Fenway. The seats aren't the most comfortable in the world, but the atmosphere cannot be beat.
