That's better.
Apr. 16th, 2006 12:24 amI discovered last evening that I did a stupid. It's a recoverable stupid, with no permanent harm done, but it's the sort of stupid that makes me get down on myself and fret and be anxious and whatnot. So I wasn't feeling great this morning.
How to fix that:
1. Some veg time in the morning. I needed downtime.
2. The great amusement of Patience costuming. This show is going to look great, in a very non-traditional-G&S way.
3. A good Patience rehearsal.
4. Walking home from MIT on a lovely late afternoon/early evening. It took about an hour, and it felt great. Must remember: Exercise is good.
5. After further vegging, finally getting some Enigma work done.
Feeling better now. Of course, I'm also up rather too late for having to get up to go ring bells tomorrow, but it's worth it for the feeling of accomplishment.
Happy Easter to all for whom it's relevant. I look forward to a morning of Alleluias; there's something that even not-especially-religious I find incredibly joyous about the Easter service. I like the message that redemption is always possible. And besides, I like to count hats, since Easter is about the only time people wear hats at my church.
