Audition update.
Sep. 21st, 2006 09:52 amWell, I auditioned. I thought I did reasonably well, though of course there's no way to know what they thought. I was auditioner #17 total, according to the number on my sheet; there were about six of us last night, and I guess the rest had come Monday. We each did our monologues, then they had us come up in various combinations to do cold readings. Then the director had us come up as one of the characters we were interested in, and she asked us (in character) a question and we had to improv the answer in character. There are probably three characters I could reasonably carry off in terms of age, depending on who they cast in other roles.
LARPing has certainly affected my ability to improv. I'm not good at it, but I no longer overthink -- I just go with whatever comes to mind. I suppose that's an improvement.
Anyway, I'll find out if I got cast within a couple of days. Thanks,
hahathor, for the advice!
