Stupid ice.
Feb. 16th, 2007 07:21 pmYou know, I was trying to be good. I shoveled on Wednesday, but there was still a thick layer of ice on my sidewalk and the front stairs. So I went to buy something to spread on them. (Yes, I rent, but my landlady's an older woman and I try to help with things like shoveling.) Couldn't find salt or sand, so I bought a 20-pound bag of kitty litter to sprinkle on it.
And, while I was doing so, I slipped on the f**king stairs and fell. Fortunately didn't twist anything or re-injure my knee, but the left side of my rear was bruising before I even got inside. Not the easiest place to ice, either. Ow.
I did get the litter scattered around, though, so there's at least some modicum of traction.
