New blog.

I've started a new blog. Its main point is to make me write. (There's not much there yet; I'm still getting it set up.)

I've taken as my conceit that I will start with one of the flowers from my Language of Flowers lists, look up its meanings, and then riff off that.

We'll see how this goes. Maybe it'll finally make me start writing something more than my LJ babble. (Not that there's anything wrong with LJ babble, but I feel like I want to write something else, too.)

What the heck is abecedary, as a plant? It's the first one in my various lists, and I'll be damned if I can find it anywhere. Even the OED doesn't list a meaning for "abecedary" that's plant-related.

Challenge for you reference geeks out there...
