Soup, etc.

I am not especially a fan of February. The weather tends to suck (and this Sunday was flat-out weird -- rain, sleet, snow, cold, wind, then sunny), and I get tired of grayness.

But, the weather is a good excuse for making soup. I made white bean, kale, and chorizo soup over the weekend. It's very, very tasty. (Though, if your digestive system is anything like mine, exercise a little caution, and maybe some Beano.) Add some good bread and it's dinner. (I followed up with homemade mixed-berry frozen yogurt, too -- hurrah for Trader Joe's frozen fruit!)

And, because I can't resist a good self-indulgent meme, my valentinr is behind ( the cut. )

Oddly fascinating.

021408 is "Cupid's Drop Box" -- a place where people are leaving valentine notes for each other, anonymously and otherwise.

It's oddly compelling reading. Some are sad, some are funny.
