Jun. 13th, 2005 02:02 pmFirst Sweeney read-through last night. I'd never actually heard the entire thing. Sondheim is one warped individual. Weird, weird stuff. Should be fun to do though.
Movie plug: Heights, written by my next-door neighbor growing up, opens in New York and LA this Friday and in Boston next week (and in Denver the week after, I think). It stars Glenn Close, James Marsden, Elizabeth Banks, and Isabella Rossellini, and it's been getting good reviews from Sundance and other places. Amy adapted the screenplay from a one-act play she wrote. I'm going to the Boston premiere at the Kendall theater on the 23rd; it's a pricey event, but if anyone else wants to come let me know and I'll send you the info. The general opening in Boston is on the 24th.
Edited to add what I meant to ask the first time: What on earth does one wear to a movie premiere?

Date: 2005-06-13 06:34 pm (UTC)I've gone to lots of movie premieres (usually through Audience Extras). If you're not the star, anything that's not jeans will do.
