You can give a nuanced performance of an unnuanced character, though-- and Bunny would be sadly easy to play one-dimensionally.
Back in August, at a Residence in Ministry event, one of the other probationary pastors was Korean-American, and I mde an effort to be particularly friendly, as White people out here tend to be shy of talking with people whose English isn't very American. And among the things we talked about was what it meant to her-- how freeing it was-- to pray in Korean during church services. (She's wrangling a Korean fellowship as half her appointment, and is an associate pastor at an Anglo church for the other half. The senior pastor at the Anglo church asked her to pray regularly during their services.)
That makes a lot of sense to me, and I bet it's at least analogous to how it is to you to combine theatre with singing.
