Well, I survived the weekend of being four kinds of geek.

Mystery Hunt: Long and tough, but very creative, as I'd expect from Palindrome. I was in and out a lot, so I didn't spend too much time focused on any one puzzle, but I was fresh brains a few times and did parts of various things. Was glad to see Unspeakable Chaos return, even if we never fully solved the puzzle (and to be honest, I think the final leap was a bit much); helped crack the warrant meta; and was the one on the team who thought of the eight auspicious symbols (even though I couldn't have told you that was what they were called). Muchas gracias to Palindrome for all the work that went into it, and congratulations & best of luck to the Bombers.

Prophecy: Winter feast was fun. An event at which it is considered improper to ask anyone's name or to use anyone's name unless they give you permission is rather handy for a person who's still new to the game and doesn't necessarily remember all the names. :) My primary participation in the events of the day was happening to be the person with a notebook in the right place at the right time. I was sorry to have to run out and miss the OOG socializing afterwards.

Handbells: We played a piece called "Camp Meeting Medley," which is a fun one to play -- some cool malleted stuff, and a rousing ending that got us applause. When the organist does the postlude, people start leaving and talking in the middle. Not when we played. :)

Brigadoon: First two rehearsals. I'm a little dubious at some of the organization, but we'll see how it goes. We are in desperate need of more chorus, especially men, so if you have any interest, please let me know. Rehearsals are Monday and Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons; this week we're at the music director's house, but after that we'll be at a Baptist church in Waverley Square.

And now, the question, for sewers and knitters and crocheters: Can you point me to some good hat patterns, specifically for kid-size hats? Free ones would be ideal, but ones you have to buy are ok too.
