Ask Dr. LJ: Across Lite question

On Across Lite for OSX (version 2.0), how the heck do you enter multiple letters in a square without having to go to the menu and pick "Insert"? I know on the PC version, if you hit the "Insert" key, it'll open the box for multiple letters, but my Mac keyboard at work doesn't have an insert key. And there's no help file in this version of Across Lite, at least not that I can find.

Help, anyone?
