It's Blank Verse Blog Week! Yes, that time is here
When, to commemorate old Avon's bard,
We write our blogs in blank verse for a week.
It's all for fun and silliness, of course.

I slept a full nine hours plus last night
And needed it; I'd had but four or so
Each of the two nights previous. (Yes, LARP.)
"I'm too old for this shit" does come to mind!
And this is prod week for our Brigadoon,
So I know there won't be the time I'd like
To have for sleep the rest of days this week.

I had a good event at Legends, though
My character is nearing death. It's hard,
Because she has some interesting things
Beginning for her! I don't want to lose
Her now. I guess I'll have to take more care
And not get killed again. Alas, alas.

And now, to work. The marathon's today,
And Copley Square is busy as they prep
For all of them to cross the finish line.
I'll go down later to cheer on the ones
Who from my office group are in the race.
It's fun, if zooey, to be here for this.
