Scattered moments of joy, wonder, fear, and otherwise coolness from Prophecy.

  • The sheer frustration/desperation of being unable to break through the minor key of the Spiritist's song, as sung by the phenomenal Prophecy cast singers, followed by the joyous moment of clarity as Samarra and I found the right notes, simultaneously, and knew it. Clicking in together like that, without having to say anything... sheer brilliance.
  • Looking back during my fear challenge to see that everyone was gone. I knew it was my fear challenge, I knew it probably wasn't real... but there was still that moment. Amplified by great-grandpa's ghost alternately tempting me to go back and help and encouraging me to keep going.
  • Flinging myself into Samarra's arms as long-lost twins in the Lyrimancy cache play. And watching [livejournal.com profile] reynaud tromp around as a very effective Beast.
  • In general, the reactions my new abilities got. Especially from Lucien. Him: "How's your mana?" Me, rather stunned: 'That cost me nothing!' Him: "What?!"
  • Schadlinge coming over the hill. "What is that?!"
  • The circle of shadow-eaters and Schadlinge and the masked thing wandering around tempting them. Watching the faces of the shadow-eaters to see who was breaking. Watching Kalesk's hands shake on the ring.
  • Also during shadow-eaters:
Masked thing: *whispers temptations in Kalesk's ear*
Me: "Don't listen, Kalesk..." *goes on trying to encourage him*
    Masked thing: "Be silent, bitch!"
Me: "I will not be silent!"
Masked thing: *disgusted grunt* *leaves for the moment*
  • Happy bouncing Queenslove goblins. :)
  • [livejournal.com profile] tenwii as Saren, in the "Jimmy Stewart as a goblin" voice, being so perfectly a goblin goddess.
  • Hain's final collapse. I didn't know the whole story, but the reactions all around were striking.
  • Octavia being able to cast again. The song finished, the agonizing moments of waiting as she gathered herself, and then the joyous burst of her casting. And the cheer afterwards. :)
  • Dayne's fear challenge. "Um... there's a Nym putting shackles on Dayne..." Followed by all of us cheering him on to break the chains, and then his sudden burst to do so, wrest a sword from someone, and just go house on his tormentors.

And, of course:
Rescuing my first Waytharns. "Forsooth, I grant you Waygrace!" Beautifully roleplayed by Ken, Patrick, John, and... um, the fourth one, I can't remember now who it was! Watching them stop attacking and visibly start listening to me, and then their reactions as I cured them. Part of me has always wanted to work a miracle, and that's about as close as I'll ever get.

Well, think of Doc Emmett L. Brown in 'Back to the Future', but with green skin and a lot of messy red hair and you've got Saren.

Cool memories! Hope you had/are having fun at TOV too this weekend!

I wanted pass on the clarification from Patrick that he actually said "Be silent, witch!" ;-) We try not to use certain language at our events and so we wanted to clarify that.
