history_grrl tagged me with an interesting survey meme. So rather than post any of the other things that have been rattling around my head, or researching Silurian life forms, I'll do this instead.

01. How has LJ changed your life?
It has kept me in touch with or put me back in touch with people I would otherwise have lost contact with. It's also, indirectly, responsible for my having my current job. And it's helped keep me sane through my dark patches, and reminded me that there are people out there who might notice if I weren't around.

02. What do you do before bedtime?
Brush my teeth and read or do puzzles.

03. What are you going to have for dinner tonight?
Probably something involving cheese. Possibly stir-fried corn, if I get my act together.

04. What is the ONE place you want to go before you die if you had the money and the time?
Geez, only one? There are so many places I want to go. I've done one of my before-I-dies in going to the Galapagos. I guess I'll say east Africa -- I want to see the Serengeti someday.

05. What scares you?
Stinging insects, though less than they used to. The thought of dying alone.

06. What do you do in your free time?
Sing. Act. Do puzzles. Watch TV. Obsess about my various LARP activities. :)

07. If you could speak another language (meaning one you currently don't know), what would it be?
There are lots that I'd like to learn, but I've been wanting to learn Hindi for ages. Even have a book on it. I'm intrigued by the challenge of learning a language with a completely different alphabet.

08. What personal belonging do you have with you everywhere you go?
My glasses. And usually my keys.

09. What was your favorite song or musical group when you were young?
I don't know that I had one particular favorite. I've always had pretty eclectic taste in music.

10. Are you a risk taker?
Not usually, I'm pretty risk-averse. Though LARPing has changed that, for the better.

11. Is being tagged fun?
Sure. It means someone was thinking of me.

12. Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Good lord, I have no idea. I'd hope to be living in a place I own, rather than rent, with lots of friends, and doing something fulfilling with my life. Might not be what I'm doing now.

13. If you could be anyone for one day, who would you be?
My great-great-grandmother the small-town Indiana grandmother. I would love to see the world through her eyes.

14. What kind of person do you think the person who tagged you is?

history_grrl is creative and confident and warm. I'd like to get to know her better, outside of LARP worlds.

15. Would you rather be single & rich or married but poor?
If I were happy single, the former. If I were happy married, the latter. Money's not really the issue.

16. How many children do you want to have, if any?
I don't think I want any. I can barely keep my own life together.

17. Is reality objective or subjective?
...both?

18. If you fall in love with two people simultaneously, who would you pick?
I don't like the framing of this question. One wouldn't necessarily need to pick one over another. I would hope I'd pick whichever one made me feel happiest, but there are so many "ifs" involved that I can't really answer this.

19. Would you have 100% safe sex with a stranger for $10,000,000?
No. There's an intimacy with sex that I wouldn't want to cheapen with money.

20. What is your favorite color?
Blue-greens. And purples.
