Well, my taxes are done. Self-employment tax is a bitch. Must remember to (a) keep good records and (b) file an estimated tax return.

But, that's probably the most productive I've been in a week.

Now, to do some things that earn money, rather than taking it away...

I hate April 15. Even though I pay estimated taxes, I calculated incorrectly this year (made a lot more money and got into a new bracket), so I have a rather hefty check to write.

If you are going to be doing freelance stuff, using MS Money or Quicken is a must. If you are actually going to start a business doing genealogy or something, Peachtree Accounting for Office is good.
