Performing and professional tryouts

saxikathI'm 0 for 2 on my auditions for summer theatrical things. (Neither is a great surprise; both were for things where students get preference, and I am very much not a student!)
I want to perform somewhere. Anyone have suggestions?
In happier news, I HAVE A JOB! For 6-9 months, anyway. I'm going to be a supervising editor (which sounds pretty impressive, I have to say...we'll see if it actually is!) at the company for which I've been doing science test writing. And it's possible, if it's a good fit and if there's enough work, that this could turn into a staff job.
I also have a headache, but that will pass.
