Are the taller ones waterproof to the ankle? Didn't you just say you're going to be standing in water a lot?

Well, they can be waterproofed. And I only have to stand in water up to my instep. :)

I don't know if this helps any, but Land's End has some pretty cheap all-weather mocks. I know that they need to be wide and all, but my mocks have stretched a bunch (so much so one pair almost doesn't fit any more). And they come in boot form. And they are really good about returns.

Anyway, just an idea.
