Project Acorn
May. 19th, 2002 06:54 pmHey, some of you out there reading this: remember Project Acorn?
Project Acorn was an attempt by a group of friends/acquaintances to be each others' support system for reaching goals, for doing things we needed and/or wanted to do. The name came from VenJen, or was it Rach? Now I don't remember for sure, but anyway, it came from the "great oaks from little acorns grow" image.
Everyone listed their goals, divided, as I recall, into three categories: immediate goals (finish that skirt by next week, send off an application form), mid-term goals (get into shape, write an article), and dreams, things on the "things to do before I die" list (walk across Spain, write the Great American Novel).
It kinda died out; we didn't really follow up. But anyone out there want to restart such a thing? I feel like I need someone to give me a kick in the pants occasionally, and goodness knows, coming up with things to do about problems/goals/ideas is easier with someone to bounce them off of.
So, who's up for Project Acorn II? Whether you were part of Project Acorn I or not.
