Today's frustration.

(Last night's, really, but I wasn't going to log in just to post it.)

Why, why, why didn't I just buy the wretched dress in Columbus and be done with it? And why did I wait till last night to try on the outfit for Saturday night's formal gala? The outfit I have will do, but it looks kind of ... matronly. And while I may not be the belle of the ball, I don't want to look like the chaperone either.

I think a last-minute trip to the Burlington Mall may be in order.

I hope the Burlington one is better stocked than the Copley Square one, which only had the ugly dress-and-jacket combinations that no mother of a bride I know would ever deign to wear. Why in heaven's name does anyone think people like us would want to wear that??
