Timewaster meme.
Apr. 6th, 2004 05:12 pmI actually did work! Once I unjammed the fax machine. And it took me a whole 20 minutes to do the work. *sigh*
Will go home soon. But first, a meme, swiped from
lemurtanis and
greenlily and various others.
1. Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says.
"boyish way he kindly remarked:"
(I'll let you wonder.)
2. Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?
Framed print of a beach on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, on the wall of my cube.
3. What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Part of a Forensic Files episode, I think. Last night sometime.
4. WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what time it is.
5:10
5. Now look at the clock; what is the actual time?
5:09
6. With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
The roar of an airplane in the Logan flight path over my office. And people typing.
7. When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
Around 1 o'clock. I was going to the other building to buy water and a brownie and to use the restroom, since our water's out.
8. Before you came to this Web site, what did you look at?
My e-mail.
9. What are you wearing?
Green denim shirt, jeans, and brown clogs.
10. Did you dream last night?
I think so, though I don't remember the details.
11. When did you last laugh?
In conversation with coworkers earlier today.
12. What is on the walls of the room you are in?
Exchanging "cubicle" for "room," since the room is very large: aforementioned framed print, a phone list, a calendar, a whiteboard, my framed Ruddigore cast photo, and T Mcay's brilliant "puzzlechat" cartoon.
13. Seen anything weird lately?
I've been backstage during community theater performances. Of course I have.
14. What is the last film you saw?
Uh. RotK, back in Dayton?
16. If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy first?
A car. Then a house. Then maid service. Then lots of fun stuff for my friends.
17. Tell me something about you that I don't know.
Hm. Something about me that no one who reads my lj knows. That's tough. Um. I know how to say "I prefer to live in town" in Russian.
18. If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
Make sure that every school, everywhere, has well-informed, creative, caring, well-paid teachers and enough resources for them to use.
19. Do you like to dance?
Absolutely. Wish I did it more often, in fact.
20. George Bush: is he really doing Dick Cheney?
Don't even go there.
21a. Imagine your first child is a girl. What do you call her? Hannah Lynne
21b. Imagine your first child is a boy. What do you call him? Daniel Edward
22. Would you ever consider living abroad?
Probably not permanently, but for a year or three, sure.
