Urban Challenge update, etc.
Jun. 25th, 2004 09:38 amSo the results of Urban Challenge Boston are up. Enough people were disqualified that we ended up being 15th! So if we wanted to go to the finals, we could. (I don't think we do.)
The site has the trivia questions and the checkpoint clues, if you're curious.
In other news:
- Sent out con press releases. Looks like there'll be coverage in at least the Improper Bostonian and the Cambridge Chronicle.
- Enigma. Ack. I know what I'm doing this weekend. (Layout; the production editor is on vacation.) I expect to spend a lot of time at Diesel or Someday (yay air conditioning!) so feel free to say hi.
- Haircut tomorrow, finally. Time to get rid of this mop.
- Work: Insert usual rant. Lather, rinse, repeat.
- Had boffer practice last night for the first time in a while. Was a particularly good one, too, with lots of action and some strategy practice. I'm still not very good ("I don't remember who's on my team!" *thwack thwack thwack thwack thwack* *Kath falls down dramatically*) but I'm improving.
- I was rereading Thurber's The White Deer this morning. I do love that book. I think The Thirteen Clocks is better, but I like them both.
- Clearly, I'm in an escapist mode. (See work rant, above.) Fantasy has a lot more appeal than reality just now.
Okay, I suppose I really ought to buckle down and do some work.
