Pondering.

I've been thinking about starting a separate blog or lj and using it for longer, vaguely more thoughtful writings than the stuff I dump here. Mostly, this would be intended to motivate me to actually do some more thoughtful writings. I'm not sure what they'd be. Possibly self-indulgent reflective essays. Unlikely to be politics, because politics makes my stomach hurt. Maybe fiction now and again.

Would anyone read it? I don't know. But maybe it'd get me to write something instead of letting my brain go to mush the way it feels like it is now.

Yes, there's certainly an element of post (or rather inter-) show letdown in my current feelings of dissatisfaction, but they reflect some more general frustrations too, I think.

I'd totally read it. Though I'm not sure why you feel like your existing LJ is not the place for those sorts of writings. Except that, then again, I know creating a fresh space for something can help bring it into existence.

I don't know why you need a separate blog for it, unless you think its very existence will serve as a prod. But, as others say, if you write it they will read.
