Not long ago, I read the book Dream Park, by Larry Niven and Steven Barnes. It's a mystery set during a LARP at a high-tech amusement park. At the end, there's the following exchange.

"Millie whistled. 'That's a lot of business backed up there. Good luck. Personally, I'd rather be fighting monsters.'
Wouldn't we all? he said silently. Wouldn't we all."

Yeah. I would.
