Weekend update, and a meme.

My weekend, in handy bullet point form:

• Ordered my new computer. After much comparing and seeking advice, I settled on a Toshiba M50. Not top of the line, but considerably better (and lighter) than my old one. Also got a new printer and a wireless router.
  
• Now I just have to keep the old one functioning till the new one arrives. I basically can't move it; I have the power cord duct-taped to the back of the screen to keep it in the only position in which it seems to work, and that doesn't even always work. Sheesh.
  
• Saw one of my Anything Goes castmates (the one who played Sir Evelyn, for those few of you that saw the show) as Fagin in a production of Oliver! out in Foxboro. Excellent show. I'd never noticed before how much Fagin is a stereotypical stage Jew. Even the orchestration of "Reviewing the Situation" has a lot of what I think of as traditionally Jewish musical elements.
  
• Rang handbells. I get the weirdest calluses from bellringing.
  
• They've started installing the new organ at church. I need to take pictures tonight at handbell rehearsal. It's fascinating to see all the pipes and pieces.
  
• Did some laundry and Enigma work, so it wasn't totally unproductive.
