Update and request.

Didn't do any posting yesterday, but: Rumsfeld is gone, we have what seems like a good new governor, and the Democrats won the House and quite possibly the Senate. It wasn't a perfect election day, but I'll sure as hell take it.

Was up waaaaaay too late Tuesday night watching returns at an election party. (Yes, it was dorky. Yes, it was fun anyway. So there.) And got to spend time with lemurtanis and yandros, who were in town all too briefly. Miss you guys.

So, the request: The play I'm in requires a cake, and one that has to be eaten (or at least munched on) on stage. The cake is to be chocolate with chocolate frosting. I volunteered to make the cake for one performance. Anyone have a favorite recipe to recommend? I have at least one good one, but I'd be glad to hear anyone else's. I'll even trade you the chocolate pound cake recipe for it. :)

I have many things I should do. There's work. And then there's the December Enigma, and the Mangie tribute, and my Legends PEL, and getting my lines down for the play, and getting groceries and doing some cooking, and... yeep. Now, if I could just muster the focus and energy to do them all.

I think my upcoming birthday is depressing me. I should do something about that.

Recipe swapping?

So, I don't cook much anymore, and I should change that. Ergo, recipe swapping. I have interesting recipes. I want new interesting recipes. Anyone wanna share favorites? I'd be especially interested in slow cooker recipes, having recently acquired a slow cooker, but any sort of recipes would be good. I'm thinking particularly dinnery recipes rather than bakingy recipes, but hey, I'm flexible.
