It's refreshing to deal with a customer service person who is both competent and pleasant. The screwup in this case was totally mine, but she never made me feel stupid or like I was wasting her time.
I dealt with a nice one today too, as I was canceling my telephone service. We got into a conversation about dialects, and I recommended Bert Vaux's online dialect survey to her. She lives in Illinois and is Filipino. At the end, she wished me a good drive across the country.
