Why is Yoko Ono part of the Olympic opening ceremonies?
And why have Peter Gabriel sing "Imagine" an octave low?
The acrobats-turned-dove were pretty cool, though. (As was the thing where all the people made a ski jumper earlier on.)

Date: 2006-02-11 05:27 pm (UTC)Part of me thinks it would be really cool if the opening ceremonies and overall Olympic theme each year was dictated by the host country's preferences. Instead of a incoherent mishmash of artistic stylings, you could actually get a bona fide cultural perspective.
