Here in time we are added to one another forever.

-- "Epitaph," by Wendell Berry

My NaNoWriMo novel is not yet started -- have to wait till after work for that -- but this resonates with what it will be about. As well as just resonating, generally, especially as sung by an a capella group in an arrangement in which the male voices sound like the drones of a bagpipe.

Wait until after work??? heh.

I just got my protagonist off his butt and started down the plotline... after 3983 words.

I once heard Monkey Puzzle perform Epitaph along with one of the best-named groups I know: the Oolites. If you can believe it, even more dreamy resonance and haunting overtones and such. They also added that certain je ne sais what-all to the "maharishi" verse of Sweet Potato of Love.

(We now return you to the non-obscure reference portion of your daily journal.)
