5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you. So there I was in Atlanta, having joined the NPL a couple of months earlier, not knowing anyone and wondering what on earth I had gotten myself into. After navigating the maze to the hospitality suite, I was standing around hesitantly, when this tall fellow came over to me, stuck out his hand, and said, "I don't think I know you. Hi, I'm Qaqaq." My brain went rapidly through the "oh my god, I've been doing your puzzles since I was a kid!" stage, and discovered that I was in the right place. You made me feel so welcome so quickly.

To answer 7, I got a berwing kit as a wedding present for my (now ex-)husband. This would have been in 1992. We started brewing together, and when we split, I immediately went out & replaced the beer making kit. I actually wasn't much into beer before I started brewing (he was more into it than I), but once I realized I could make any type of beer I wanted . . .
