Midafternoon meme.
Apr. 18th, 2006 03:36 pmA variant on one I've done before, but sure, why not. I'm feeling too distractable to do much else. (Also: Actually writing curriculum standards is harder than I anticipated.)
Comment and:
1. I'll respond with something random I like about you.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I'll name something we should do together.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me).
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
8. If I do this for you, you must post this on your journal so you can do the same for other people.

2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you. I suppose it's cheating to say Wordplay? :)
3. I'll name something we should do together. Go on TAR.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me). "This relationship is OVER!!!!!!"
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you. So there I was in Atlanta, having joined the NPL a couple of months earlier, not knowing anyone and wondering what on earth I had gotten myself into. After navigating the maze to the hospitality suite, I was standing around hesitantly, when this tall fellow came over to me, stuck out his hand, and said, "I don't think I know you. Hi, I'm Qaqaq." My brain went rapidly through the "oh my god, I've been doing your puzzles since I was a kid!" stage, and discovered that I was in the right place. You made me feel so welcome so quickly.
6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you. "Some of us are cursed with memories like flypaper. Stuck there is a staggering amount of miscellaneous data, most of it useless." -- The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes (though you seem to find uses for it!
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you. Why puzzles?

7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you. Right now, today, what's your dream role?
