An update on my not-so-thrilling life.

I'd say, this morning, my knee had improved;
The swelling had gone down, it seemed to me.
I couldn't bend it all the way straight back,
But partway, yes. Rotating -- not so good;
It hurt as soon as I tried to do that.
So back into the brace, and off to work.
It felt somewhat more sore when I arrived;
The effort made in walking, and the work
Of walking while the leg is held out straight
Had tired me out and left me slightly sore.
But, there's hope that things are starting to improve.
I don't know yet the details. More next week.

I seem to be just harping on my knee,
But honestly, there's not much else to say.
I miss the Patience folks, though it is nice
To have my evenings free. (Though all I do
Is sit upon the couch with my leg up!)
I'm really proud of how the show came out.
The cast worked hard and did a bang-up job.
I hope the things I said and did were helps,
But mostly, they did what they had to do.
I had my doubts when we began to work;
The concept was so odd, it gave me pause.
But here I do confess that I was wrong:
It worked, and in the end worked very well.
So here's three cheers to you, my dearest Goths,
And football players, milkmaids, poets, all.
You did me proud. I hope you're proud as well.
