To quote a Con conversation: "Not necessarily, but in this case... no."

You Belong in Brooklyn

Down to earth and hard working, you're a true New Yorker.
And although you may be turning into a yuppie, you never forget your roots.

Me, a true New Yorker? Um, no. Some of you know how I feel about big cities. I'm probably a true many things, but New Yorker isn't one of them!

New York?

Run away! Run away!

Honestly, I'm one of those people who has just never had ANY desire to go to NYC. (And I looked through the questions on that meme...and pretty much none of the responses are even close to fitting me.) I've been to LA once, and really, that was pretty much enough for me too. Chicago is only good for short visits to see people I really want to see, or to get past it to things I want to get to.

One thing I like about the Twin Cities Metro is that even though it has a lot of what you'd expect from a big metro area, a lot of the suburbs have the feel of smaller towns. The lakes and trees that break them up probably help with that feeling.

I find the same with the Boston metro area.

Where Should Your Inner New Yorker Live? (http://www.blogthings.com/whereshouldyourinnernewyorkerlivequiz/)

I think if you take a test where your inner New Yorker should live, you're going to get a result somewhere in New York. The test assumes you want to live here and is trying to help you pick a place. Conversely, I don't like Boston, and would never want to live there even so many of my favorite people do, so I would not expect to find advice I'd want to follow in a similar test for there.

Here's mine. Interesting, since the architecture where I live is very similar to that in the Village.

You Belong in Greenwich Village

Avant garde and bohemian, you're quick to adopt new ideas and lifestyles.
And while you're a bit less weird these days, you still have a "live and let live" philosophy.
