Never did get around to that real update yesterday. Still not getting to it now.
Instead, a question.
What do you want for Christmas? (or Hanukkah, Yule, Solstice, etc.)

Date: 2006-12-05 08:22 pm (UTC)On a humorous bent, I'm always reminded of Steve Martin's Christmas monologue on Saturday Night Live, a copy of which can be read at http://www.whysanity.net/monos/holiday.html . (It's funnier when performed.)
On a serious note, I tend not to be big on presents in December, but I'm thinking that I would like a watch that gets the signal from the atomic clock. (Of course, it would also have to have a built in timer so I could keep timing you on the crossword puzzles.)
And, as usual, peace on Earth would be welcome anytime, not just now.

Date: 2006-12-06 03:46 pm (UTC)I think this time last year I actually filled out a "I would like..." mem. It included things like "old used books I can read" and "a dinner at Fugaku, since I've never been". Seriously, though, my favorite presents are always things I never would have thought to ask for.
