Ask Dr. LJ: Buttonholer?

Does anyone out there have a sewing machine that will do buttonholes for half-inch buttons? Not only am I leery of using the buttonholer attachment for my treasured old Singer because I messed up the machine last time I tried, it turns out it doesn't even do half-inch ones. I just need to do two buttonholes.

Sewing baby clothes is fun. They don't take very long, and they're cute.

Aww, my machine that does buttonholes is at work where I won't see it 'til Thursday. I believe elsinoreblue has the capability, though.

With just two, it might be easiest to do them by hand?
