So that's what humidity feels like.

Back in Boston as of late last night. Bleary and discombobulated and going "ew, crowds!" and "ew, muggy!" But mom was in very good shape when I left, so that's a relief.

My skin and hair are going "yay, humidity!" but the rest of me isn't so sure. It was 90+ almost every day I was in Denver, and that's plenty hot, but the 10% humidity definitely does make a difference.

Is the humidity worse this year? I've been in KC almost four years now, and this year just feels awful. Even late at night is still hot and sticky. I'm using my A/C and sticking indoors a LOT this year.

I'm in Boston this week, fwiw, and if I had to stay here much longer I'd go on a killin' spree. I'm down on Huntington Avenue, staying at the Prudential Sheraton, and between the tourists and just clueless dumbasses milling about not looking where they're going it takes me twenty minutes to go a quarter mile.

I keep telling myself "There's a reason I live in Vermont. There's a reason I live in Vermont."

I'm in Arizona, where it is 105 and so dry that I have a cough I can't get rid of no matter how much water I drink, and I keep glopping my hands with lotion and two minutes later they're dry again. I'm sorry it's been so yucky in Boston, folks, but I can't wait to get back to some civilized humidity!

And K, I'm so glad your mom is doing well. :)
