More memery
Feb. 27th, 2003 09:22 amHaving looked at the other options, I think I'm glad I came out this way...

So where does the rain in Spain fall? You're My
Fair Lady. You've got great music and some
famous actors (Audrey Hepburn played the lead
role in the movie). And by a stroke of luck,
you've got a happy ending. Our low-class
heroine becomes a lady, leaves the hero (after
learning about his insensitive experiment on
her), but eventually comes back. Yup, you're a
classic!

Date: 2003-02-27 06:35 am (UTC)There's no day but today... You are Rent,
the modern remake of La Boheme. You show
the life of artists in New York "at the
end of the Millennium." You're depressing,
you make people uncomfortable, and your music
is amazing.

WTF?! I don't even *like* this musical.

Date: 2003-02-27 06:42 am (UTC)We'll think of you fondly (we promise). You're
The Phantom of the Opera by Andrew Lloyd
Webber. You feature cool special effects, such
as falling chandelier murky bogs underneath a
theater. Your music is mind-blowing, your set
is gorgeous, and your lead man was played by
Michael Crawford in London. Need I say more?

This means something about me, doesn't it?

Date: 2003-02-27 06:51 am (UTC)Let me guess... you're really actually very
painfully shy? No? You're Once Upon a
Mattress, the modern musical version of
"The Princess and the Pea." Your
storyline is kooky, loveable, and like a fairy
tale. Your music is fairly forgettable, but the
funny characters make up for the songs.

I've seen this. I can remember almost nothing about it except one line.
"What was the middle name of the daughter-in-law of the blacksmith who forged the sword that killed the beast?"
Am I really?

(speaking of the movie version of My Fair Lady, though, it kind of links back to that whole discussion of using big name stars in musicals rather than real broadway singers... I mean, sheesh, they turned down Julie Andrews for Eliza! And Marni Nixon rarely gets enough credit...)
