Have I mentioned lately how much I hate humid heat?

On the other hand, homemade cantaloupe sherbet is a good thing. (The recipe called it sherbet, anyway. It involved half and half, though, which seems more like ice cream to me. Either way, it's tasty.)

Agreed: Humid heat sucks. We had a fairly long humid spell recently, and I was happy it was over.

My understanding is that sorbet has no dairy but sherbet is a fruit-based frozen dessert with cream in it (as opposed to ice cream, which is a cream-based frozen dessert sometimes containing fruit).

Cantaloupe sherbet sounds delicious.

I'm tempted to convey here my utter disgust with people who think it's "sherbert," but the complaint is unwarranted, so I'll refrain.
