Whee, ToV!

First ToV event, and first LARP event for me, of the season this weekend. I'm stiff and tired and bleary and have a worse-than-usual case of knee and shin bruises, but gods, I love this game. They threw some crazy stuff at us this event, and most of it worked; I saw some phenomenal roleplaying and got to do lots of fighting. And had the rather satisfying moment of asking people to come with me to fight, and having them say yes even when I told them I was very likely leading them to their deaths. And got to have some great in-character moral crises.

Reality in cubeland is so drab by comparison. But at least the five-hour meeting originally scheduled for today got cancelled; that would have been brutal...

It sounds great. I love hearing your LARP reports. And I was just thinking about you because of your recent post about hating to call and make appointments. After putting off making a doctor appointment for weeks, I finally did it just now, and it was so simple that the call was over in about 20 seconds. And I feel silly. :)
