If I'm not mistaken, I think it's actually "This Little Babe". Sounds like a wonderful thing to have stuck in one's head, especially the three-part round. And the harp.
I was lucky enough to sing this with a harpist back when I was in high school. Huge (2-school) all-female voice choir performing the whole Ceremony of Carols.
It could be worse. scholargipsy posted the entire lyrics to "Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport" in his LJ this morning, for which earworm implantation, I'm going to have to terminate with extreme prejudice..
I LOVE that piece. The driving rhythm, the slightly-unpredictable-yet-inevitable melodic and harmonic pattern, the challenge and counterpoint of the three-part weaving voices. And the WORDS. The first time I sang that, I spent weeks puzzling over the words in my head and figuring out what they meant. And the cool obsolete words, like "pight" as past tense of "pitch."
First time I sang that, it was with the VSO (Vt. Sym. Orch.) Chorus and a professional harpist, in the VSO's holiday pops concert. The chorus is amateur, but damn near professional quality.
Second time I sang it, it was with my decidedly third-rate church choir. I couldn't believe that we would ever master it. But the director knew better than I. Granted, we only took it in a two-part round, but it was a million times better than I ever thought it would be. :)
