I was trying to find a picture of a particular building in New Hampshire. (Without success, I might add; I'm kind of boggled that there are no photos out there on the web somewhere!) Anyway, I searched on flickr and got the following:
We couldn't find any results matching east and sandwich and chapel.
Would you like to try a search for food, church, lunch, cheese or bread instead?

What's taking you to Sandwich? (My grandparents' house is there, and my aunt & uncle live there.)

Date: 2008-04-15 12:46 pm (UTC)The Sandwich (New Hampshire) Temperance Society displayed the painted sign in Plate I at its meetings in the East Sandwich Chapel between 1800 and 1900. On it, a snake, a symbol of betrayal and sin, wraps itself around a cup and is inscribed with some of the dangers of alcohol: "REDNESS OF EYES./WOUNDS./BABBLINGS./CONTENTIONS./SORROW."
Using Yahoo.com, I found the Sandwich Historical Society, which has photographs in their collection. http://www.sandwichhistorical.org/index.htm
Also, the Conway Public Library has resources for East Sandwich NH available by phone:

Have fun!
