So yesterday was my first unscheduled weekend day in... weeks. Months. And what did I do with it? I goofed off some, yes, and took a walk, and ate strawberries and cream. But I also cleaned my bedroom, which desperately needed it. (It tends to get short shrift when I clean, because usually my cleaning is motivated by visitors and I can just close the bedroom door.) This involved lots of dust. Afterwards, I was coughing and feeling a little chesty, but hey, dust.

Today? Still chesty. Still coughing. Feeling pretty damn cruddy. Even running a (very small) touch of a temperature, which I suspected when it felt like my temperature regulation was out of whack.

Thus is virtue punished. Bah.

I recommend a HEPA mask for long-delayed cleaning.

My testing for why I am always hacking came out to be that the only allergy I had was to dust mites.

Daily nasal flushing helps long-term, but a mask to filter small particulates is essential when cleaning. Also it helps to use a wet rag instead of a dry one.
