I think the US women's rowing eight team is about the most visibly happy group I've ever seen getting medals.

Edited to add: Is anyone else as tired of the diving commentators as I am?

I watched the divers for a bit, and ended up putting it on mute.

Yup. And so's my grandmother.

I thought the men's gymnastics team was also very happy to win their bronze in the team competition.

The female diving commentator annoys me. Bella makes up for it though ;)

Fixed, and yes. And I'm not even watching. ;)

Actually, I wanted to see more of the Dutch, who were ecstatic at stealing the silver from out of nowhere.

Yep, I find the diving commentators annoying too. Then again, I find most of the commentators annoying. (It is kind of fun to watch Bela Karolyi freak out in-studio with Costas, though.)

Oh my gosh their reactions made me cry! They looked so happy and rosey and healthy and strong! And no one is going to give them a million dollars to endorse Wheaties (though they should).

The commentators drive me nuts --- they're so biased against any non US competitor. Sometimes I just want to enjoy the floor exercise, man!

I thought the rowers looked happy. But I couldn't help but wonder during the medal ceremony when they wee singing the national anthem if there was a "less cute" team off stage that was actually doing the singing :)

Shoot, rowing is one of the handful of events that I really would've liked to have seen...

I was more or less in a TV black-out as far as the olympics go the past week, since we had no NBC affiliates on the TV--there was a smattering of BBC coverage, which was sort of the other extreme from NBC's personal-interest-tripe--they had clips of track and field events back-to-back, no commentary except who was in lead, and only the last minute or two of each of the longer events, so I didn't even have a chance to keep track or get into anything.

The gymnastics commentators are worse. The grumbling about Nastia Liukin's silver? Quit whining and move on, folks.
