Another day has passed. What have I done?
Apr. 21st, 2003 11:45 pmAnother pair of chapters of the math
I hate have gone to meet the client's eye.
Two chapters closer to the project's end.
(It can't come nearly soon enough for me.)
And then I went to Diesel once again,
To write my science tests. I finished two,
But have so many left to write. I fear
I won't complete them by the deadline day
Of Friday. While I hate to miss my mark,
I think they'd rather that I do them well
And finish up by Monday. Well, I hope
That's what they'd rather, for I think it may
Just be what happens. Such is life, I guess.
While at the Diesel, one of those who spoke
To me on Saturday and seemed to know
Me, though I didn't know her face at all,
Approached me yet again to say that she
Had mixed me up with someone else. That's not
A great surprise, but still, I'm glad to know
I hadn't lost my mind completely (yet!).
She's friendly, anyway, so that was fine.
It rained a bit tonight. I love the smell
That follows after showers. Fresh and cool,
It makes the grungy city feel more clean.
I may step out to breathe it in some more
Before I fall asleep. Which should be soon;
I have to drive to Manchester to sort
And ship some pages off tomorrow. Thus,
I'll venture out to breathe the sweet night air
For just a moment, then, a bit refreshed,
Go toddle off to bed. To all, good night!
